Becker Entertainment Pty Ltd is an established Sydney-based, independent production company, founded to produce independently funded commercial films & TV content for the global market.
The Company has access to a unique funding model which guarantees a return to investors and overcomes the need for government funding, legislated local content requirements and restrictions on the use of overseas talent.
Becker Entertainment was re-established and re-founded by Daniel Becker, whose family has a longstanding history in film production. Drawing on that heritage, the company carries forward a recognised entertainment legacy while reshaping it for the demands of the modern film business.
Daniel brings nearly a decade of hands-on experience across the film industry in a wide range of roles, giving him an exceptional working knowledge of every stage of film production. He has worked on numerous film and television productions in a variety of capacities, and in 2016 produced a low-budget horror film, Ravenswood, which is estimated to have generated a hundred times its production cost.
Daniel has built a wide global network of industry contacts and commercial allies. Highly disciplined in production scheduling and budget control, his extensive experience and relationships allow the company to attract excellent casts to its productions.
Daniel is also spearheading the establishment of a major new Australian film studio with full facilities in New South Wales, projected to create stable employment for more than 600 personnel. In parallel, he is involved in discussions with the Government of Malaysia, which is keen to develop a similar studio complex to attract foreign productions and strengthen its domestic film-making industry.
